Falassarna Beach

Falassarna beach (or Falasarna) is located in the western part of the prefecture of Chania, Crete, about 53 km from the city of Chania and 13 km from the town of Kissamos.

Crystal clear waters, aquamarine sea and fine golden sand, are those which characterize Falasarna, which is considered to be one of the best beaches in the prefecture of Chania and all over Crete.

The plain of Falasarna filled with greenhouses, becomes visible downhill the road, after taking the right turn, shortly before entering the village of Platanos.

Other Beaches in Falassarna

If you are looking for a quieter beach, or if you like small creeks, then go to one of the two beaches lying immediately north of the Pachia Ammos beach   2  ,   3  , and if seeking a really secluded beach, check the beach located south of Pachia Ammmos   4  

Just have in mind, if you are on Falasarna on a blowing day, prefer the northerly beach to avoid the whipping of the sand on your body and eyes that won't let you relax. At the northern beach, the wind is being cut, and you will be able to enjoy the beach.
